My kids are all standing here applauding. ;)
Aw, let me know when your twins are big enough to wear the angel costumes. I'll loan them to you cheap.
Good stuff. :) Love the puppets.
my daughter just said, "Daddy, why don't WE do stuff like this for Christmas!" I'm trying to think of an answer that doesn't involve me being lazy...;()
Absolutely precious! I loved it.
Awww, Merry Christmas.
You are a family full of talent!!! Thanks to you and your family for making me smile!
AH! That's awesomely sweet.
You guys need your own variety show! Bravo and Merry Xmas to you and your family.
I'm glad you all liked this. My wife and my kids are all very gifted people, and I'm lucky as all get out to have them.In fact -- and I'm being completely honest here -- I think if these guys weren't my family, I'd be really jealous of the guy they belonged to, and I'd probably go up to him and grab him by the throat with one hand and point my other finger right in his face and snarl in his face like, "You better appreciate what you got, Bub!"
Then you could spend Christmas in jail on assault charges!
I probably shouldn't have sounded so excited there...
Wow...you know the thing that really impressed me the most about what you guys did? It wasn't the talent (although it was there), it was the fact that your faith means enough to you and your family to spend the time (and money) to do something like this. It is a beautiful, touching example of faith in action, and I loved it.Alright, now everyone shut up, I must revert to my sarcastic and jaded world view, so scram. I need space.;);)Seriously, I'm proud you are my family and I miss you guys a lot. I'm looking forward to saying Merry Christmas in person.
Blackbird - If I ended up in jail on Christmas, you'd probably come and bail me out. You've got one a them there 'con-shin-sus-ses'.Bunny - We're looking forward to seeing you AND your girls. What is going on with our family that three months flies by and nobody sees anybody else?
Wait...did you do this at your house or church or where? Really, this is pretty awesome.
I don't know exactly what me bailing you out would look like, but I bet it would look something like the movie Run, Lola, Run.
Bryan - We did it at our tiny little church. We've been doing their Christmas service for the last few years since we've got the skills and gear leftover from our big-time children's ministry days.Blackbird - Regretfully, I've not seen that movie, which sucks because I'm sure your comment was clever and funny and the whole thing was totally wasted on me. On account of my lameness.
Well, if you ever want to watch a movie, but are mad at the English language, find it in the foreign section of Blockbuster. It's about Lola. She runs. She has to get ungodly amounts of German money to avoid having mobsters kill her boyfriend.
Blackbird, that sounds like one of my absolute fave foreign films: "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" Not only is it hilarious but it has this cool Brit street-lingo that rocks. It is just stylish and clever and funny and has one of those crossing-pathways with random different people plots which I love. If you watch the DVD version it has a cool-school on the Brit language lingo. Yes, I am one of those.....
BPV, I have a very important question to ask you: how come I'm not listed on your "The coolest people I know" list. After all, you don't have to limit yourself to 12....or you could just delete yourself and add me. :)
Ah, sweet Bunny. Dear, sweet, innocent little Bunny. There is a very simple way to join the ranks of those elite, but only you can do it. The power is within you, but it is something that you must discover for yourself. But I have faith in you. You will yet be cool.
You used to have a children's ministry? That's cool. And what a multi-talented bunch you Veenies are! The sweet dancing angels are my favorite.
Greetings, citizen. I was out on patrol, looking over the interweb for random threats and the rearings of the heads of evil and such, and thought I spied something sinister on your blog. The two angels in the magically embedded video bear a strong resemblence to the notorious crime duo, the 'Cherubrats'. I hope, for your sakes, that these are not the Cherubrats, but if they are, please contact me at my 'Hall of Goldenness' for smiting and other crime-fighting related feats of hero-ing.(for now my 'Hall of Goldenness' resides only in cyberspace, at my blog. I hope to rent an actual physical space in a few months when I get my tax return)
PS I just twittered about you. See my feed via my blog! HOLLA! Er, TWEET TWEET!LOLYou don't get it, do you? It's cool. You'll come around eventually.
Tracey - Yup. I used to be a part-time children's pastor back in the day. Check out the Kingfish link in my 'Churchy links' in my sidebar. That was our big time mobile puppet ministry.Capt - I'm impressed. You found me after like two years, and on a new blog no less. Some people might call that stalking, but I happen to know that detective skills are just another one of your superpowers. Anyway. It's nice to have my favorite superhero back.Sarah - And as of right now, I can honestly say that you are my favorite Twitterer. Whoot!Twoot! Toy-tweety-tootle-oot! (It's about the sound effects, right? That's the cool part? No?)
Sir: It was truly indeed an privelage and honor to have served under your and Cindy's leadership for the puppet ministry that you two had started at Muskegon Vineyard Christian Fellowship and no I am not ashamed to be known as one of the voices that were used for one of your puppets. And who would have thought that all those years of imitating yogi bear; deputy dawg and many other cartoons from my youth would be my inspiration to make children and children at heart just smile. I just want to say that I miss the "Tiny Tim" chants that I was introduced as to the children in K.I.D.S. Church. You really know that all credit goes to my wife Rebecca for even encouraging me to even work on my hidden talent. But credit goes to you and Cindy for even giving this humble servant of God an opportunity to serve in the Kingdom of God.
