In my last post, I announced the completion of the first draft of Talonshale version seven. And today I finished the second draft. So yeah, that's why I'm updating again. Soon it shall be ready for those of you who were so brave as to volunteer your services as beta readers.

Which reminds me of something that's been on my mind lately: I miss blogging and I really miss my blogger buds. How is everybody? Doing well? Can I get you something to drink? A pillow maybe? You know I'm still your bro, right?

Can I tell you something else? I got a bodhran for Father's Day. Early, yes, because I accidentally opened the email with the order confirmation from Amazon and spoiled the surprise. So when it came in the mail, she just gave it to me. It's really cool too, see?

(Thanks, Babe -- you're the bomb-est.)

Oh, crap. I got my husband shirts.

I'm fine. Middle Daughter developed a second area of morphea. We fought the insurance (because they said they weren't paying for the light therapy) and eventually got our $ when husband called the pilots union. We also ended up getting our own home machine (the day after it received FDA approval), so we don't have to drive to Denver (unless the machine doesn't end up working). So far, there is only limited bone indentation, which is good. And the doc is saying that the disease will probably burn out in 3-5 years, so if I can hold my breath that long, I'll be OK.
The agent has submitted the manuscript. There will be the biggest announcement ever on my blog, if the thing gets sold. I'm working on a MG Sci Fi now that I'm loving. Also working on an MFA. Fun, really.
Congrats to you, on your accomplishment. I'm hoping you find much success.

Oh...and I can read in July, if you still need me.

Paul -- do you care if I change my call sign to something like 'Rocket Ray' or 'Hard Core'? 'Bo Peep is a little... um... a little gay.

Anita -- Sorry to hear about your daughter's morphea. It's an unpleasant thing to have but as I'm sure you know, the morbidity and mortality is no different from the general population. I really feel for you and your family and I hope you all make it through to the other side as smoothly as possible.

V- Congrats on the second draft and on your new bodhran. I'm glad you posted a pic, because it saved me time googling it. :) Good luck to you!!

And Anita - I didn't realize your daughter had more areas of morphea. I'm glad you have your own machine, that will save lots of time for you. Good luck!

How's about Razr V-Shizzle?

Nice gift! They make the coolest sound - even better when you're hanging out in a pub in Galway.

I can still beta as well.

Kelly -- In case you're wondering what it sounds like, it sounds like this: bum ba-tum, ba-bummity-tum, ba-bummity tum-tum, ba-tum -- can you dig it?

Lost Shepherd -- Copy new call sign, over.

KM -- You've been to a pub in Galway? You are so stinking cool. So did you hear me just playing for Kelly? Did they sound like that in Galway?

Hmmm...I think a video is in order. I don't think I'm truly appreciating the sound here.

You go, Ray! Sending you lots of good vibes for the completed second draft. And you should totally post a video of you playing the bodhran! (Mostly because I have no clue what they sound like.)

Happy Father's Day! :)

And congrats on the second draft!

Anita -- I will make a video, and I will be sure that it includes audio. Sound good? As for what's been keeping me busy, maybe I should update my blog and let the whole world know. Because the whole world cares, right?

Vivi -- This weekend, maybe I'll do a video of Cindy. She's learning the tinwhistle and we can kind of play a song together. Don't expect much.

Keri -- Thanks. Your comment kind of reminds me of how long it's been since I've updated. Father's Day was like three weeks ago now.

Ron -- Good to hear from you, old buddy.
