Say, Ray, what's new?

Consider this post to be a sort of a virtual bookmark. A placeholder, a tick on the ruler of existence, a really thin pancake slipped between the pages of your favorite book.

No, I'm not on drugs, but I am still here.

Not as busy as I should be. Not making as much writing progress as I should be. But I'm still alive. Just been a lazy summer so far.

Hope y'all are enjoying yours. See you around.

Um, could you maybe like kinda sorta stop blowing us off? It's not like we don't like totally have like feelings, like ya know?

Hope your summer's rocking. Look forward to your "real" return.;-)

I'm having a lazy summer here in Chicago, too. Or, at least what passes for summer in Chicago.

I definitely know how you feel.

Mmmmm...pancake.

I'm right there with you, Ray! Well...not RIGHT there, cuz that would be weird. But, yes, summer, vacations, being lazy. I write the best in the fall anyway, so I'm just going with it.

Glad to hear from you Ray - but know this, there is nothing wrong with some good ol'fashioned summer relaxing - every busy thinker needs time to do absolutely nothing - it refuels the creative engine. Here's to relaxing!!

'Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who'd rather play outside than sit in front of the computer. I'm getting a little work done, but it's not without practicing some serious self-discipline.

Maybe downtime is okay?

Downtime is good. Maybe even better if you're a nihilist and believe that nothing matters anyway.

Are you going with the whole "absence makes the heart grow fonder" thing? Trying to make us wait with baited breath for the next post?

'Cause it's working ;)

I hear you on the lazy summer front. I just can't get my act together...too much sun, maybe...but I am having fun.

I've had a busy summer so far...blah. Moving, new job, new state...but now I have internet again and the world should get back to normal...:)

Lazy is the operative word.

Good lazy, that is.

It's definitely harder to write in the summer. We've been on the go!
BUT I hope to finish my lastest WIP this week. I decided to buckle down before I take off on vacation again and just do it!
Enjoy summer!
