Like I needed a reason to procrastinate.

I totally should have been editing. Instead, I started doing this:
(Cindy is probly gonna kill me)

(please listen with good speakers or earbuds - PC speakers make it sound like crap which it isn't totally)

Anyway. As you can see, I'm merely a passable musician. I figure if I were about 5-10 percent more talented, I probably could've made a run at being in a band or something. As it is, gee-tar is one helluva restful hobby.

So that was the Jack Johnson song I was talking about in my last post. Now, here's a bonus track dedicated to the freaking snow.

(PS: I call this concert series 'Live from the Can' because, yeah, I was in the bathroom. Good acoustics. Oh, and did I mention that I wrote both those songs?)

Yeah, you should be editing...;)

It reminds me of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, when he's supposed to be sick and then you see him playing the clarinet. I don't know why.

We should start a N-NOD band. I don't know what Carrie would do, but really - does it matter? Waiting for her response...3...2....2....

The first song reminded me of Iron and Wine. And if you don't know Iron and Wine? Oh, look them up immediately.

Rock on BPV, rock on. Nicely done, sir.

Nice! :)

Just tell Cindy this is part of editing too.

Very nicely done. The second happens to be a long-time favorite of mine.

Colby - And let me just say the venue was packed.

Bryan - I happen to know Carrie dances. She can be our dancer. Of course, there will be try outs, which goes for you as as well.

So come on brutha -- what you got?

KM - Thanks very much.

Keri - Thanks very much you too for.

Mary - Cindy's pretty smart. Got an idea how I can relate playing guitar in the bathroom to editing?

Ray, From one musician to another, Bravo! Have you checked out my music? If not, shame on you - here are the addresses: www.karmachain.com and www.myspace/karmachain. Let me know what you think. And thanks for taking my mind off the fact that one of my cats is missing... My baby, Dusty - the one who gives apartment tours.(:

he he, you take slacking to a whole new level! Good on you though! I especially liked selection number two. One of my fav Beatles tunes.

I'd call you way more than "passable", V! You rock! Geez, when I slack I watch TV and cram my face with chips.

Standing room only??

And poor you, you only have enough superfulous talent to publish a book and write songs. I bleed for you.

Wow. You even sang. Can't go wrong with a Jack Johnson song. I like one of the other comments: Live from the can!

Funny.

BPV - You WERE in a band. How could you forget Metal Shop from HS?

Your friend even made a cardboard stencil and spray painted shirt logos....

All I can say is....where do we go, where do we go nooowwww...

Oh, wait...forgot about Wintergreen.

Those were the JAMS!

The gauntlet has been thrown down. I'm thinking an acoustic version of Paradise City might be in order.

Just wait for it...

(Yeah, I actually learned Paradise City as "research" for my book...the MC has to learn it and I wanted to see how difficult it was.)

Debra - I know, shame on me. I really really want to and I really will. I hope you find your cat.

Tracey - How very kind of you to say. I bet if I tried, I could come up with even more exotic ways to slack.

Elizabeth - Thanks for understanding. You have a good heart.

Vivi - Seriously, it's not false modesty. It truly is merely okay. Didn't you notice all the mistakes and how I perpetually 'rush'? Every song I play just gets faster and faster and faster. Maybe I should try slacking with chips and TV -- sounds restful.

Sarah - I'm looking forward to checking out that link - I can't believe that on top of all your other myriad talents, you're also musical. You wouldn't toy with me, would you?

Shorty - You know what I meant: bands that earn money for being a band. Wintergreen and Metal Shop were just for impressing the ladies.

Bryan - Bring it.

I hear Stephen King's Rockbottom Remainders is looking for a brilliant guitarist.

*looks around* I bet 99 per cent of writers harbor a fantasy of not only being a published author but also be in a rock band.

You need more distractions, I know an ms you can read.
