Cindy

I just want everyone to know how awesome my wife is. No, I'm not trying to 'make up' for being in trouble, or anything like that. I've just been struck lately by what a great woman I have, and there is simply a shortage of ways in which to express that. Thus the blog post.

I've been working second shift now for well over a year (so I can work on my writing during the day), and in that time, she has functionally become a single parent. She works all day, then comes home, makes dinner, cleans, makes the kids do homework and chores, makes sure they get baths, takes them to their swimming and dance lessons, plods through vast amounts of laundry, manages the budget and finances, and does most of the shopping. Then she does it all again the following day. No rest. No breaks. No complaining.

And in the midst of it all, she encourages me.

She believes that what I do during the day is an investment in our future. She believes that I'll get my books published, and eventually earn enough for us to stay home together. She believes that I'm a great writer, a great father, and a great husband, and she tells me almost every day. And on top of all of everything else - she's hot as hell.

At this point, I only have one chance at rescuing her. My only hope of easing her burden, eliminating the constant, overwhelming effort that fills her days . . .

. . . is to get published.

(I love you, Cindy. I want to make your dreams come true.)

Awwwww. That's it. I can't make silly comments about this one. :)

Awwww....that was so sweet it brought tears to my eyes. There is nothing nothing nothing in this world that trumps a good spouse - no amount of money, no amount of good luck and no amount of amorous flirtation with strangers-with-potential-to-be-lovers or whatever else it is that people are into now. I spent so many years alone and having found a man of true character.....I know I have won a jackpot even rarer than the lottery - a real love to call my own.

Oh, and congratulations to you, too.

I do have some comments other than my usual "Verklempt."
You and Cindy are an inspiration to other people. You don't realize how it inspires, encourages, and instills hope in people to be able to point to the two of you and be able to say, "They are doing well, great, in fact!" It just goes to show you that God does know what He is doing when HE puts two people together. Even if I knew nothing else about Cindy, I would know she is right for you because she encourages you to follow your dream. Just as you say you don't have enough ways to express your love and appreciation for Cindy, I don't think we have enough ways to tell you how much you all mean to us, and how much we appreciate the way your relationship reflects light on us all. I know God will bless all your efforts, writing or marital or familial...
I too have a match made in heaven and I would like to take this opportunity to ask that we all pray for our single family members to find soul mates.

Did you forget to take out the garbage? Did you forget her birthday?
She's very pretty. and she backs you to follow your dream? Wow. Buy her some jewels!!!

And now you feel pressured to get published...

One thing I didn't mention is how much fun she is to be around. We're all laid back and goofy with one another - and I couldn't live any other way.

I figured since my blog readers are pretty much all women, a post like this would go over well. Cuz if I had a bunch of guy readers, I'd mainly have to talk about her sexy/hot/vixen-ness.

Dude, she is so freaking smoking!
