Truthfully? I've forgotten how to write a snappy blog-post-title.

It's funny.  Every time I write a new blog post, I get a screen with a big message that says, "Blogger has a new look".  No exaggeration -- EVERY TIME.   Which should clue you in as to how often I've been updating these last two years.  As often as I don't blog, even an old look would look new to me, so forgive me, Google, if I don't become sufficiently enthused by the 'semi-annual-as-clockwork', "New Look!"  It seems I am a jaded and lazy man.  And that's not just me trolling for compliments by taking a stab at self-deprecating humor.   Scroll down a bit and you'll see -- it's been five months since my last post.

I really do suck.

The good news is that I've decided to try to suck less.  I've got about a dozen good reasons for committing to at least a weekly blog post (most of them writing-related) and so now I am committing to -- can you guess? -- a weekly blog post.  Who am I committing to?  Anyone who reads this blog.  Which, at this point, I think pretty much only includes me.  So now that I've made this commitment to myself, I'm going to be pretty mad at me if I let me down.  I've let me down before, I can tell you, and it irritates the living crap out of me when I do that to me.

Anyway.  There's lots I could talk about tonight, updates on my various writing projects and whatnot, but I don't think I shall get into that.  I think I'll save it all for next week.  That way I'll already have something to blog about, and I won't run the risk of making me mad.  (Seriously -- I'm totally trying to stay on my good side.)

I will say this (because I embedded the images before I started writing): that pic up there is the one I'm using for my author picture for now.  This other one down below -- that's a proof of the book the author picture is in.  More on that next week.
