Links for the very brave.

I do not recommend clicking on these links. I've only posted them because I want you to be able to clearly identify what NOT to click on. These are two things I've happened across recently, both are terrifying to behold, yet utterly fascinating in that 'dear-God-it's-so-hideous-I-can't-stop-looking' kind of way.

This warning is completely serious. If you click on either of these links, your life may be irrevocably changed -- and not in a good way.

Proceed at your own risk.

This may make you stop writing altogether.

This may plunge you into cardiac arrest.

You KNOW you wanna dance to that song, V. Besides, those were some hot moves back in the 80s. I remember thinking that he was super "choice".

you know V - you kinda looked like that in your younger days, and i think I've seen those moves.

I think this guy is your hero!

That first link did make me laugh. The second one made me think of high school. A brother-sister duo lip synched to this song together at a school sponsored lipsych contest (I wanted to enter-really-but basketball practice got in the way of my lipsynching career). But anyway, the brother-sister duo seemed a little too....close. A little creepy. Thanks for making me relive that memory. Thanks a lot. ;)

I have only one question: Why only 22+ million views on link #2? I mean, that groovy dude is more talented than The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Fleetwood Mace, Pink Floyd, etc. all rolled into one! Thanks for bringing utter musical joy to my day. (Now, I'm off to the bar. I have to drink until I can get a certain horrible song out of my head. Cardiac arrest? I wish!)

Aw, you know I have to click on them now. If I die a gruesome death, the blame lies solely at your feet.

I was kinda scared to click on the links. Rightly so. I'm not sure I ever want to write again.

And I AM sure I never want to see or hear Rick Astley again!

I heeded your warnings and did not click on them.

Vivi -- We're supposed to pretend we don't think the tune is catchy. You knew that, right?

Shorty -- You are spreading lies. Shame on you.

Kelly -- Ewww... so they were singing it to each other? "Never gonna give you up, sis".

Debra -- Luckily I have a back up song for just such an occasion:

Come and knock on our door.
come and knock on our door.
We've been waiting for you.
we've been waiting for you.
Where the kisses are hers, and hers, and his...
Three's company too.

Mercedes -- If you do pass on, I shall send your family a very sincere apology. And maybe some flowers.

Suzanne -- I hope you didn't seriously let that guy get you down. He's obviously bitter. Funny, but bitter. (Plus I found a place where he lists all the writers who are exempt from his claims, and good news -- your name was on the list).

Paul -- You are a man of enviable resolution.

I will never open these links. That tells a lot about me.

I have an auto notification thingy set up to let me know every time they come up with another of the 101 Reasons to Stop Writing. Those things CRACK me up.

The 101 Reasons blog was brilliant.

I must admit to loving that song AND that video when it came out. Loving it. A lot.

I managed to resist clicking for a few days... and then I gave it! I think I've run across that blog before - it was entertaining, but definitely doesn't make me want to stop writing :)

And Rick just makes me smile!
