Oneironaut/Dreamkin/something

It starts as an experiment to bridge human dreams, but the test subjects soon discover that there are certain objects in the dreamworld that can be carried back to the physical world. Strange and powerful objects. Objects that defy the normal restrictions of reality. Objects that are being hunted by an eldritch, shapeshifting spirit.

(Title and elevator pitch still under construction)

------------------------------------------------------------

Have you ever noticed that the more you blog, the less you write? At least for me, it is as immutable as the three laws of thermodynamics. Not convinced? Then I shall endeavor to prove my theory empirically, using the following formulaic expression:

(The interplay between quantitative focus on writing
versus blogging, and its effects on creativity.)

So you might be getting the impression that the only thing I've been posting lately are excuses for not posting. And yeah, that pretty much sums it up. I'm writing up a storm right now, so hopefully all you lovely writer folks will understand. And stick around. And not un-follow me.

That is a very cool picture. (though it slightly reminds me of the cover of a Toadies album. I like the Toadies, very unique band...) Your synopsis/blurb sounds like an interesting story so you're writing, right?!

Keep writing!!! :)

How true! And don't worry. You can't get rid of us that easily.

I'm writing up a storm as well these days, which is why I only blog every few days or so. Posting is a nice break from the intensity of the WIP. Great elevator pitch, btw.

I'd read that.
I haven't been blogging or writing. I finally needed to get a column done, so I dragged my butt over to the computer and hammered out something. I have now written and blogged. Phew. I thought it was gone (the desire).

Kelley -- For all I know, it could be a Toadies album cover. I just kind of grabbed it from a Google image search and slapped my title on it. Cuz it just looked like how I envision my cover. Hope that don't make me a bad person.

Keri -- Thank-you my friend. You too?

Debra -- Makes sense. I can only seem to channel my energy into one direction at a time, though. See you on your blog.

Tracey -- Admit it: fiction calls to you in a seductive voice. Give in, Tracey, give in -- it hurts so good.

Writing up a storm is a very good thing. Don't worry, V. We won't un-follow you. Speaking of which...I just noticed over in your "following" box that you're following yourself! I did not know you could do that. Is it fun, or do you end up creeping yourself out?

Go BPV, Go! Write away...

I totally get the blogging vs. writing thing... can I use that as an excuse for why my blog sucks lately?

Hmmmmmm. I'll stay. For now... Hey. We. Gotta. get together some time.

I will not unfollow you! I'm psyched you're working on your writing and I'm excited about someday grabbing your book off a shelf!

Vivi -- When I noticed me following myself, I confronted me, and I got all indignant and tried to make up some lame story about how we just 'happened' to be going the same direction. Yeah, right... whatever. Man I hate me.

KM -- Okay, Ms. Walton, I will. But only cuz you told me to.

Danielle -- Go aheah, lady. Just be sure to be all artsy about it. "I cannot be expected to trifle with this odious medium whilst my muse beckons."

Blackbird -- Hells yeah. Should I call you? Cuz I'm up for a late night drink, and... I've really been wanting to talk some poetry.

Anita -- Wow. That was super-duper supportive. You win the 'commenter of the day' award. (Sorry, though, said award comes with no actual prizes of any kind.)

I love the concept. So cool. And creepy.

If my dreams followed me into reality, I'd be in major trouble.

I totally agree about the blogging/writing time and love your formula. proves it beyond a doubt I figure. ;)

Nice pitch by the way. I'm so glad to hear you have a great book about dreams that is very dissimilar to mine... this means I don't have to get Big Louie to whack you. :D

I'm in PA this week, so a call would be futile...unless you want to drink hundreds of miles apart and then describe how the drink tastes over the phone...

I would never unfollow you, so don't even think about unfollowing me!

And OMIGAWSH you have a live traffic feed. Cool!

My dad once told us about a dream where he was in a fishing boat and they had some candy bars he was saving for us kids, because he knew if he hung onto them they woudl still be in his hands when he woke up. Then he said they fell overboard, so he jumped in the water to retrieve them. At this point you could see the five little faces just shining with hope..."I swam underwater and caught them, and got them back in the boat," he said. "But I couldn't hang onto them because I was so cold, and dropped them just before I woke up."

Okay, that pitch sounds FREAKIN' AWESOME!! I wanna read it!!
